Licences

A CLA Licence allows the copying and re-use of extracts from digital and print books, magazines, journals and websites for educational and teaching purposes. The licence is renewed annually by Newmarket u3a. Click here for further details regarding what is covered and what is not.

What other licences does the Trust provide?

• The PPL PRS (music licence) and MPLC (film licence) allow u3as to screen music and films respectively. They are included in their membership of the Trust. They automatically renew each year and u3as are covered. For further details refer to section 5.5 of the U3A Copyright and Licences Advice 2025; link above.
