A small off-shoot of the group very much enjoyed a visit to Christchurch Mansion in Ipswich on 1st September to see the special exhibition to mark the 250th anniversary of John Constable, featuring a number of loans from other museums. The display was very well displayed and curated with clear explanations. The main event was
The Hay Wain, on loan from the National Gallery - a great opportunity to see a national treasure up close.
This group currently meets on the first Tuesday each month 2.30-4pm.
We also arrange ad hoc visits to galleries and exhibitions across East Anglia

Women artists from Bury St. Edmunds will be the subject of a talk by
Anna in October. We have no idea what is going to happen in
November - watch this space! The year will probably conclude with a
festive lunch, venue to be confirmed.
